School meals: put the family’s next step first.

This Project Fionigan-style example reorganizes a small amount of public Stafford County school-nutrition information without copying or replacing the district website.

Choose the school, then open the current menu.

Stafford County Public Schools sends families to SchoolCafé for current online menus and allergen information. Because daily offerings can change, this demonstration points to that live source instead of freezing or copying a menu.

A complete meal is easier to understand as choices.

Stafford’s public nutrition information explains that lunch can include an entrée, vegetables, fruit, and milk. Students select at least three food groups, including a fruit or vegetable.

A production version could present a school’s live menu in this same short, guided, and full-review structure while retaining the official source and update time.

Keep prices, applications, and accommodation paths together.

For the 2026–2027 school year, Stafford’s public information lists breakfast at $1.65 and lunch at $2.95 for elementary, $3.05 for middle, and $3.15 for high school. Approved reduced-price meals are listed at no cost.

The district also states that medically prescribed meal substitutions for a student whose disability prevents use of the regular meal are provided without an extra charge. Families are directed to Nutrition Services for that process.
